The Test of Mathematics for University Admission focuses of on mathematical thinking and reasoning skills. The TMUA lasts 2 hours 30 minutes in total and is divided into two papers.
Paper 1 - Applications of Mathematical Knowledge assesses your ability to apply your knowledge of mathematics in new situations.
Paper 2 - Mathematical Reasoning assesses your ability to deal with mathematical reasoning, and simple ideas from elementary logic.
Both sections consist of 20 multiple choice questions and last 75 minutes.
The TMUA is based on content typically covered within Higher Level GCSE mathematics courses or AS level mathematics and is used to assess mathematical thinking and reasoning skills. There is no pass/fail mark as results are graded 1 (low) to 9 (high).
